It was a fantastic evening of 6-a-side football at the Kidderminster Monday league at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre, as all teams were in attendance as expected, including new side Wiener Boys, who despite a loss in their first game were said to have enjoyed their debut in the league.
Match Report:
First game of the evening saw the ever improving Gangster Allardyce play out a thoroughly entertaining 2-2 draw against Netsix and Chill. Daniel Jones bagged a brace for Allardyce, whilst Adams and Farrington replied for Netsix.
Next up the returning Rodallega Bombs, with fresh legs after missing last week, managed to pip Taking the Mikoutaryan to a 3-2 win thanks to goals from Andy Pawson, Luke Calcott and T Calcutt, whilst it was a goal each for the Morris brothers in reply for Mikoutaryan.
A really close encounter next up as 2nd place Matamatics managed to scrape a 1-0 victory against Motherwell Yes Thanks Bud to keep their title hopes alive going in to the last game of the season, Jamie Meddows was on the scoresheet.
Reigning champions Mo Salad were up next against the boys from Bewdley, Beast FC. It was a one sided affair in the end, where top placed Mo Salad proved just too much on the night for a young Beast side. Golden Boot chasing Jordan Jones scored 5, with braces from Karl Katic, Joe Billingham and Elliot Thresh, whilst it was down to Moore to score Beast's consolation goal.
New boys Weiner Boys came up against Joe Mama in the last game. It was a baptism of fire for the Weiner Boys, as Joe Mama ran out 10-2 winners. Joel Spencer was top scorer on the night with an incredible 7 goals, with goals from Knowles, Bishop and Reeves to secure the win. Lobb and Thomas were on the scoresheet in response for Weiner Boys.
