New Season 5-a-side rules
For our newer teams, leagues rules are as follows;
- We follow traditional 5-a-side rules, however the ball CAN be played over head height (try not to kick it over the fence though!)
- Goal keeper can not come out of the penalty area
- if the keeper comes out of the area, a penalty is awarded
- No defender can go into the penalty area, if so a penalty is awarded
- The goal keeper can not kick the ball out of his hands, and must roll under arm at all times. If the keeper does do this, a free kick is awarded at the referee's judgement
- Opposition players can not enter the penalty area
- A goal keeper can pick up the ball when passed back by his own player, the player can not give this directly back to the goal keeper once received however. If this occurs a free kick will be awarded
- Players can not be fouled or pushed against the cage
- If the ball is stuck in the cage, the opposition team will allow the other team one yard to continue play, at the refs judgement
- All subs are roll on roll off, however you must wait until the ball is dead or with the goal keeper to do so. The ref must be informed and the gate to the pitch kept closed at all times
- All goal scorers should be given to the ref after the game, in order to be logged correctly
