Millions of viewers were left “heartbroken” at the weekend as Callum McLeod became the first housemate to be booted out of the Love Island Villa this week, but he can still score big tonight, when he makes his moves on a football pitch.
When he is not on getting his marching orders on national TV – a move described by The Sun as “brutal” – Callum is usually found on the pitch at Pencoed School on Monday nights playing for Adidas FC, where his talents are always valued.
The aircraft engineer revealed in the morning papers that he “realised too late” that he had “the hots for Yewande”, and now must hope that his timing is a little better tonight, when he comes to Pencoed.
League Co-ordinator Barry John reckoned that Callum will be happier in his natural habitat, saying: “Well, he’s shown he can score in Bridgend on many occasions, even the odd solo effort, and it will be good to have him back where he belongs.”
On a more serious note Barry added: “Callum is a lovely bloke, and maybe he was just too nice for the Villa with all of them that are desperate to be famous…..”
Callum will be looking to swerve any firm tackles on offer tonight, but will be worried that a lack of fitness while in Majorca will see his stamina tested and blowing a bit.
And his Adidas team mates will be waiting with great anticipation for his skills as a fox in the box with great penetration. They’ve been taking some “Flack” while Callum has been with Caroline as in his absence the team has slipped to just outside the relegation zone and they will be hoping that Callum avoids his second eviction of the season by keeping them in the league.
