LEISURE LEAGUES PLAYERS GET GLAMOUR WORLD TIES

Players from the Leisure Leagues network all around the world were handed mouth-watering clashes throughout the 6 a side World Cup as the draw was made last night in Athens.

The pick, from a glamour point of view for the Leisure Leagues network, saw Pakistan draw World Champions, Germany. The match will put Leisure Leagues Pakistan, and World Group- who had received in the live draw for their vision and commitment to socca – in the spotlight and highlight the work that Head Coach, Kevin Reeves is doing.

Leisure Leagues players in Egypt and Mexico – and Mexico is undergoing its official launch this weekend – also excitedly learnt their fate too, with and both were drawn in the same group, meaning they will facing a glamour tie in front of a partisan crowd as they take on hosts Greece.

The pick of the other games, from a Leisure Leagues UK point of view was probably the all-Celtic game that will see Scotland and Ireland face off, in what is sure to be an eagerly anticipated match involving players from throughout our networks.

That provided the centrepiece of a Group G that shows the global appeal of Socca. The remaining three teams in are France – many people’s dark horses for 2019 after their debut showing in Lisbon – China, and Iraq.

It is a similar story for Wales, in Group C. Their toughest assignment will be against 2018 runners-up, Poland, although Belgium and an experienced Lithuania will be no pushovers for a team managed by Leisure Leagues Bridgend’s Barry John, and they will also face newboys Morocco.

England, who last week took on AFTV at one of our newest venues, Chatham town FC in Kent will take on another unknown, as Uruguay take to the World Cup pitch for the first time.

In addition they’ll have to overcome Bulgaria and Cyprus if they are to match last year’s Quarter Final spot, but there is no doubt about the game that stands out there, and it is the name Argentina. Always synonymous with English football after the controversies in 1986 and 2002, the match will have extra spice.

The Leisure Leagues powered tournament kicks off in Crete on October 12th  and we will have coverage throughout.
