THE ACTION HEATS UP IN THE WINSFORD 6 A SIDE LEAGUE

The brand new Winsford 6 a side league saw its second fixtures take place this week and there is only one team with a 100% record after the opening pair of games.

Paul Maddocks sit on the top of the table – and are yet to concede a goal so far – after two 4-0 victories.

This week they saw off Over 3 FC, to follow up their opening day cruise against Winsford Diamonds, to really lay down a marker that they are the team to beat.

Win Today Lose Tomorrow are living up to their name and have had a somewhat inconsistent start to life in the competition, but they found some fine form this week and thumped bottom side Lads On Toure 6-0 in the biggest win of the day.

Spartak Moss Bank are the only other team to have lost both their opening matches so far – but at least they have the consolation of their second loss being a narrow one. The only goal was enough for Winsford Dynamos to get their first points on the board.

The league, at Winsford Academy, is currently offering Free Entry to all new teams, meaning a saving of £25. The details of the league can be found here: https://www.leisureleagues.net/league/winsford-academy/winsford-tuesday where you can sign up to get your team registered in time for next Tuesday’s games.
