The first ever Uni League in kicked off in Pontypridd this week, and it was Netclicks And Chill who gave a masters performance
Their 6-0 win against Old Kents was perhaps the pick of the games, on a real first class night, but there was plenty of superb football elsewhere too.
The first games of the semester saw GLH Block hammer Nut In Your Mums Forest 6-1, while USW Galacticos and Little Kickers share six goals – and the points – as the first games went with a real bang.
Area Manager Ben Schumann admitted he was delighted with the kick off and added: “It’s great to welcome these teams to the Leisure Leagues family, and this is just the start. This league will going from strength to strength in the coming weeks.”
Ben added that he was expecting to add another new division soon and thanked everyone at the USW for their help: “All our leagues are very much as a partnership,” said Ben “and that’s very much been the case here and things are so much better with that level of support. “
Teams will now be playing for a range of things, including a spot in the Leisure Leagues Weekly Prize Draw – which is incorporated into the Leisure Leagues Live TV Show, which is broadcast on social media every Tuesday at 7pm.
That is for the future though, next week is all about league points as Forest take on new side The Hogs , while bottom side Old Kents will be looking to get off the mark.
