Following the announcement from the UK Government on 20th March 2020 that all Leisure Centres, pubs and restaurants were to close until further notice, Leisure Leagues can confirm that all our football and netball leagues in Great Britain are suspended.
This also now applies to Guernsey, the last league we were waiting on. We have now received confirmation, this afternoon (23/03/2020) that they too have taken the decision to close.
Most of you were aware and had already been contacted by your League Manager as many leagues were already postponed, but now the remaining handful of UK leagues that we were hoping to run are unable to continue either.
Obviously, we are unable at this stage to say when they will return, but we will comply with Government guidelines until this current, unprecedented, crisis is over.
Rest assured, your dedicated League Manager will remain in regular contact with you throughout the suspension to give you the very latest news we have and we will also be updating the Facebook Groups with any information we can share, as well as maintaining our phone and email service.
So please call Head Office on 0333 123 2340, or email [email protected] with any queries you may have.
There are two things that are of paramount importance:
First, after Covid-19 there will be football and we will restart the leagues everywhere as soon as we possibly can, and we look forward to seeing you all at our leagues in the UK and Ireland and everywhere else in the world.
Second, to ensure that you all return to your league, please follow Government and NHS advice on social distancing, and above all, ensure that you and your families stay safe.
