This week saw a brand new league kick off. Monday Night Football came to Northwich – and let’s be honest, that’s got to be better than listening to Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher moan on tv, right? It started superbly too, with all the teams thoroughly enjoying the opening games.

The undisputed kings of opening night – packing more punch than Nemanja Matic’s last minute winner a few hundred miles away at Selhurst Park – were Netsix And Chill, who rather neatly lived up to their name and saw off Gentlemen’s Practice 6-0. They possibly chilled afterwards. We’ll ask them on Monday.

Indeed, the league, which is being played on the very best brand new pitch in the town, is already proving so popular that we will shortly be starting a second division but there is still time to get your team in – so if you are in the Northwich area and want to show your skills in what is sure to be the most sought after league around, get yourself in quick!
