At Leisure Leagues, we’ve innovated since the 1990s.
One of our adverts in the past used to say we were the benchmark that all others followed.
We still are.
How do we know this? Well, last week we announced our new Player Cards feature, and we know that even in lockdown our competitors were all over everything we do, given that we know they shared it on their own Facebook Groups.
Are we bothered? No, not really, we take it as a compliment, because like Oscar Wilde said: “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”
There is nothing mediocre about anything we do. We believe that only excellence is good enough.
We Dream Big, as our social media slogan says, which is why when the International Socca Federation – which we are the driving force behind – said “we’d like to do a little highlights show” for the World Cup” we said, yes but….
But…why don’t we do a daily show, presented by a BBC Presenter with loads of special guests, for half an hour, every night?
“You can’t do that,” they said.
“Watch us!”
And because we’ve never believed in the word “can’t” we did.
So make your lockdown more fun by watching the live – and yes we did one live – broadcast for the final, right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOPd0fkbpMU in the company of the BBC’s Emma Jones and football legend, Ron Atkinson,
And remember, as another of our ads used to say, all leagues are NOT the same.
