Leisure Leagues is delighted to announce that we are sponsoring a charity game at Tamworth FC this weekend.
The match takes place at The Lamb on Saturday and is to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The 6 a side football firm – with leagues all across Tamworth – will be providing kits for all the players as well as the match balls, after being approached by one of their players.
League Manager Jon D’Arcy explains: “Matt Averne, who plays for Benteke Fried Chicken in our league at The Lamb on a Sunday, contacted us to say that he was organising a game to raise money for Cancer Research after his grandad was diagnosed with the disease and we were only too pleased to help.”
Leisure Leagues have won praise from politicians and public figures for their commitment to giving their profits to charities and good causes – one of which is Cancer Research UK. Jon added: “We are delighted to be the only league provider to donate their surplus to charities and good causes and the three charities we support –The Dogs Trust and Blind Children UK being the other two – are both very important to us.”
Tickets for the game are £3 and the match kicks off at 2pm.
