You already know that Leisure Leagues is the benchmark provider of 5 and 6 a side football, but did you know that you can share in our success and bring benefits to your local community at the same time?
The Leisure Leagues Franchise Scheme has been in operation since 2011, and there are now over 50 Franchisee’s across Britain, the US and Asia running leagues which see thousands of players keeping active, scoring goals and enjoying the sense of community and camaraderie that only football can bring.
Now, in the first of a series of articles that will be appearing on the Leisure Leagues website throughout 2017, we will be highlighting some of their stories.
One of 2016’s major successes was Andrew Davies, who purchased the Franchise to run leagues in the Swansea area last spring, since then he has seen his investment pay dividends, as he explains: “It’s been just 10 months since my wife Louise and I decided to meet with the Leisure Leagues team, and what a good decision it turned out to be!” recalls Andrew.
“We were there to discuss the purchase of Gower and Swansea West Leisure Leagues Franchise, and could not have been more impressed with our welcome and how our business plan was received.”
Having made the decision to invest in community football, Andrew set about recruiting teams with huge success. The news of the new competitions spread around the area and hundreds of players were quick to form teams and join.
A pleased Andrew added: “Our initial 8 team league started just 4 weeks later, providing us with a solid income for our investment.”
But it didn’t end there – indeed, the leagues were so popular that they more than doubled in size very quickly. “An eight team league quickly turned into two ten team divisions,” he said.
Since then, it has been a tale of exponential growth, and Andrew and Louise have been able to take advantage of the fact that a Leisure Leagues Franchise runs on Postcode boundaries and affords the Franchisee the flexibility to operate at any venue that is located within those. Capitalising on the immense popularity of the first leagues he started, he decided to operate an entirely new concept for the area and now runs two indoor leagues for the city’s huge student population, with a third to start soon.
Andrew was quick to praise Leisure Leagues highly valued customer service team, which in a recent survey achieved a fine 98% customer satisfaction rate – figures which Andrew was not surprised by. “I am constantly in contact with my Leisure Leagues support team, who are fantastic to deal with and always available to offer sensible solutions to any issues that crop up. Their professional and friendly approach certainly strikes the right chord with a franchisee over 200 miles away.”
The happy Leisure Leagues man was quick to encourage anyone who wishes to follow his lead and score big with 5 and 6 a side community leagues, as he confirmed: “It’s a simple, easy to understand business model, and one I would highly recommend to any potential investor.”
