The latest instalment of the Leisure Leagues prize draw took place this afternoon in Head Office, and there were all kinds of sweet thrills and spills.
As always, things began with the wooden spoon award, and the Mankini that Brackley United won after the wheel turned will perhaps come in handy for those Christmas fancy dress parties – although quite how the whole team would share it, is open to question. Hopefully they wash it first…..
Then it was the turn of the MVP’s as all the players of the season waited with baited breath. In the end it was Sam Biggs who was pulled out, and he took a brilliant driving day for being the best player on show in Lincoln.
A short while later it was the live, main prize draw. Murder On Zidane’s Floor in Warwick took the runners up award, and will be receiving a team experience day as they were the lucky recipients of the star prize.
The wait was soon over, as it was time for the the winners prize. Everyone had their fingers crossed that this would be the month that the the £12,000 star holiday courtesy of Uhlsport was given away, but it wasn’t to be. However Baines On Toast from Banbury will no doubt be delighted (as will their families with all the trainers they unwrap on Christmas Day, probably!) after scooping the £500 Nike Voucher as a reward.
Away from the prizes, there was the usual involvement for the watching thousands. This month’s giveaway was of 4600 FIFA points to be used on Ultimate Team for those all important packs.
To win them, all the audience had to do was work out who was going to win the Not My Hands Challenge, which saw two teams of Leisure Leagues intrepid staff members attempt to decorate cakes by the power of direction alone. Suffice to say, we won’t be auditioning for the Great British Bake Off any time soon (you can watch their feeble efforts above).
The next prize draw – for the teams that win their leagues in November – will be taking place in early December.
