LOADS MORE TEAMS BAG PRIZES IN THE PRIZE DRAW

The first Leisure Leagues Prize Draw of the new decade showed the world our balls.

But rather more importantly than that, we gave away thousands of pounds worth of prizes again, as the world’s biggest provider of 6 a side football proved, yet again, that we do things like no one else.

The star prize this month went to Puma’s Vets in our Rugby League. The prize wheel this month landed on something special for them, and the squad will be heading off to a theme park for what promises to be a brilliant day when the weather is (hopefully) drier in the spring.

The runners up prize went to a familiar name. Dads Army from the Birmingham Sunday League – who were the first ones to win the star prize of the £12,000 holiday to Germany to watch a Bundesliga game have won again!

They will be going to Germany later this year to sample the unique atmosphere, but now when they do they’ll all have Bluetooth Headphones to listen to on the flight over.

The MVP award went to Steven Cole of the aptly named Ale Stars in our Abingdon League – he can toast his achievement with some beer that he’s made himself with his home brew kit.

The final spin of the wheel was, as always for the Wooden Spoon “winners”. It went to Chel Madrid from Chelmsford, and they will no doubt be riveted by the Michael Owen autobiography. At least his goal against Argentina was good.

But the fun didn’t end there. We teamed up with Billy’s Ball Bags to provide a great prize for the viewing public, but we couldn’t resist a challenge ourselves, so Jon and Phil went to the Ballbag Arena to see who could emerge victorious this month.

Find out who came out on top, here.

And our used ballbags?  Well, they went to Matt Hammersley and Cameron Hassall, who correctly commented on the winners of that and the crossbar challenge – Fred West Ham found themselves on the leader board after their efforts last month.

The February Prize Draw will take place early next month. Keep your eyes on social media for more details.
