The star prize has been won.
This is not a drill.
Precisely 341 days since the Prize Draw became a monthly fixture on the Leisure Leagues calendar, the Star Prize has gone.
Dads Army who won the Birmingham Sunday league are the lucky lads that are going to a Bundesliga game, all expenses paid, courtesy of Leisure Leagues and our kind sponsors UHLSPORT, after the wheel finally landed on the golden ticket to send the lads to Germany.
That really was the big headline from the draw, but there was also the welcome return of John and Phil to the challenges – and it ended 1-1 as John won the Marshmallows competition and Phil was able to suck up the Maltesers with a straw and deposit them in a bowl….it doesn’t sound much in the description, probably best to watch it here.
As always, the League Winners is just one of the prizes we give away.
It all started with the Wooden spoon, which was won by Shadows from our Bristol Sunday league – and the’ll be reading a Joey Barton autobiography with pride.
The MVP was David Lawrence from the Kidderminster Sunday league, and he’s won a replica kit of his choice.
The runners up were Lazdio from Plymouth Thursday, who will be enjoying a Zorb Football experience – and then of course, was the big one. Literally, as Dads Army will testify.
See what happens next month, when we do it all again on Facebook
