VETS GET THEIR PRIZE AS PRIZE DRAW CARNIVAL HEADS TO RUGBY

A team from one of Warwickshire’s best 6 a side leagues is looking forward to a thrill not involving football sometime this spring after receiving their award from the latest Leisure Leagues prize draw.

Pumas Vets, from the Rugby Junior Football Club Tuesday league, were the lucky winners of our Prize Draw when it took place earlier this month.

They were drawn out of the hat in the latest fun-filled episode, and with the winner’s prize containing thousands of pounds with of prizes – with the star turn being a trip to Germany to watch a Bundesliga match courtesy of UHLSPORT  the fickle finger of fate landed on the wonderful award of a trip to a theme park for the whole team.

When the weather gets warmer The Vets – who are coaches at the Junior Football Club, helping bring through the next generation of players – will be taking their trip to a theme park of their choice for a white knuckle ride away from the match.

Phil Wilson, Leisure Leagues Social Media Manager who is one half of the “terrible twosome” who do the monthly challenges along with Jon from the Franchise Team, said: “The prize draw is going from strength to strength, with the prizes getting better every month. It is brilliant to go up and down the country and film the winning sides, as we see the joy that these leagues bring to communities all over the UK.

“I heartily congratulate Pumas Vets on winning the tickets.”

It may not be long until the cameras are back in Rugby, as Pumas are back top of the table again, and with the season in their league ending on 24th March, they could well be in the April extravaganza.

The prize draw will take place again in early February, and to see what we’ve got planned – and remember, there is always giveaways just for watching – keep your eyes on social media.
