After the incredible deluge of rain which hit Budapest this afternoon, forced the postponement of the England v Ukraine and Poland v Lithuania games in the 6 a side World Cup 2022 this evening, The ISF tournament organising committee has provided the following update:
A final decision will be made at 6.15 (Central European Time) on the fate of games for the remainder of Thursday evening. This will depend on the condition of the pitch, the stadium and the and the power supply.
Any games that need to be postponed this evening, will be played on Friday morning with the rescheduled times published on the website and all social media channels as soon as we can.
The situation at the Leisure Leagues Stadium is unprecedented and we are working tirelessly to get the games played. Depending on the weather conditions and the local weather forecast, we look forward to resuming what has been a wonderful tournament and concluding the matches in drier conditions.
The safety of players, officials and spectators is of paramount importance.
The new schedule will be published on the dedicated tournament page on the ISF website here, as soon as they are available, and matches will continue to be livestreamed here.
